Virtualization Backup Engineer

What you will do

• Perform troubleshooting and analysis, including log file investigation.
• Act as a technical focal point for IT Professionals.
• Take ownership of customer issues from initiation to resolution, troubleshooting hirify.global and 3rd party components (Microsoft, VMware).
• Correct issues in break/fix scenarios and educate customers on processes.
• Document all customer interactions accurately and within SLA.

Requirements

• Fluent English (C1+) for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Fluent in Mandarin.
• Advanced user or administrative level with Windows OS 2008(r2)/2012(r2)/2016.
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP (OS, firewall configuration) and networking configuration/troubleshooting (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS).
• Ability to quickly learn, understand, and explain technical information.
• Ability and desire to take ownership of client issues through resolution.

Nice to have

• UNIX and/or Linux knowledge.
• VMware ESX(i) or Microsoft Hyper-V knowledge.
• Microsoft Exchange server administration.
• Database engines (SQL/Oracle) knowledge.
