Technical Services Engineer

TL;DR

Technical Services Engineer: Designing, building, and maintaining data import and integration solutions for hirify.global customers with an accent on data processing pipelines and troubleshooting complex data issues. Focus on translating customer needs into technical solutions and ensuring smooth data imports and migrations.

Location: This is a hybrid role with three days a week in our office in Gdansk.

What you will do

• Design and execute reliable data imports from various customer data sets (CSV, Excel, JSON, database exports).
• Build, maintain, and improve native import tools and internal data processing pipelines.
• Understand and evaluate different data transfer approaches, including direct database access, API-based integrations, and recurring import workflows.
• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and business goals, translating their needs into clear technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and edge cases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity during imports.
• Collaborate with Customer Support, Product, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve tooling.

Requirements

• Strong experience working with structured data sets, transformations, and validation.
• Solid understanding of how data is transferred between systems.
• Hands-on experience with APIs (REST, authentication, rate limits, error handling) and databases (queries, schemas, performance considerations).
• Ability to assess and recommend DB vs API approaches based on context.
• Experience building or maintaining internal tools, scripts, or services used for data processing or imports.
• Comfortable communicating directly with customers on technical topics and explaining complex concepts in clear language.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a SaaS environment.
• Exposure to data migrations or onboarding large customers.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts or integration tooling.
• Experience collaborating with Support or Professional Services teams.
