TL;DR

HR Business Partner: Collaborating with senior leadership to drive company strategy and HR initiatives with an accent on aligning HR processes with business objectives and fostering a positive work environment. Focus on building relationships with business leaders, implementing HR initiatives, and supporting talent acquisition and performance management.

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, ON, Canada (office days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, work from home Monday and Friday).

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 CAD annually.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain relationships with business leaders to assist with HR processes and projects.
  • Develop an understanding of company processes and strategic goals to translate into effective HR initiatives.
  • Participate in the implementation and communication of HR initiatives and change processes.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers on headcount, job descriptions, and recruitment.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on performance management processes.
  • Investigate and resolve management and employee issues or complaints promptly.
  • Manage onboarding and exit procedures to ensure smooth transitions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, psychology, human resources management, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a multi-company/location environment.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% may be required.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information.

Nice to have

  • Minimum of one year project management experience.
  • Human Resource Certifications (e.g., PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
