What you will do

• Take ownership at a project level for your work and work that impacts it.
• Architect projects and complex subsystems.
• Carry out bug fixes and debugging for your own code and others.
• Take an active role in improving tooling, code, and communication.
• Provide useful architectural input and feedback for whole systems.
• Write technical documentation for project architecture and decisions.

Requirements

• Experience as an external contractor/freelancer with autonomy and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication gained through remote work experiences and a history of Agile project delivery.
• Comprehensive understanding of modern web development, with an emphasis on PHP and JavaScript in a WordPress context.
• Expert WordPress knowledge, including internals and the wider ecosystem for complex project architecture.
• In-depth understanding of engineering with JavaScript and/or PHP.
• Proven experience working on large enterprise WordPress development projects.
