What you will do

• Lead custom analytics and modeling projects from scoping to delivery and ongoing support.
• Develop credit strategies and machine learning models for underwriting, pricing, collections, and early warning.
• Engineer features from alternative, transactional, and bureau data sources.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party alternative data to enhance credit risk models.
• Present insights and recommendations directly to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to align solutions.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the United States with remote work from home.
• 5+ years experience in credit risk analytics or data science, especially in non-prime or near-prime lending.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning modeling techniques.
• Experience with alternative data sources and model governance in financial services.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to translate analytics into business strategies.
• Experience mentoring junior data scientists and supporting ML models in production.
