TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure: Building and optimizing billing infrastructure for AI and software companies with an accent on reliability, observability, and scalability. Focus on leading resiliency efforts, improving system operability, and planning scaling initiatives for high-growth products.

Location: Hybrid (New York Office, 3 days/week in office). Must be able to work in the United States.

Salary: $170,000–$240,000 + Equity

hirify.global is building next-generation billing infrastructure to help AI and software companies monetize at scale.

What you will do

  • Lead infrastructure resiliency efforts, including recovery mechanisms, tenant isolation, and load spike handling.
  • Improve the observability and operability of our systems.
  • Build performance-critical, user-facing infrastructure, such as real-time event processing.
  • Plan and execute scaling initiatives to accommodate large customer growth.
  • Partner with other engineering teams to ensure reliable product feature development.
  • Mentor fellow engineers on best practices (observability, rollout strategies, risk mitigation, etc).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with 4+ years in the infrastructure domain.
  • Deep analytical thinking about edge cases, failure modes, and bottlenecks.
  • Proficiency in investigating and debugging complex errors and performance issues.
  • Experience building scalable infrastructure for high-growth products.
  • Ability to mentor engineers on best practices like observability, rollout strategies, and risk mitigation.
  • Must be able to work in the United States.
