What you will do
- Support research and analysis of privacy laws and regulatory changes affecting business operations.
- Collaborate on drafting and reviewing privacy-related agreements and internal policies.
- Maintain incident records and assist with data breach notifications.
- Review and assess third-party privacy practices and manage vendor data processing agreements.
- Provide guidance on privacy compliance and data protection across internal teams.
Requirements
- Must be located in the United States or Canada with remote work from these countries only.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, or related field; Juris Doctor preferred.
- 2-5 years experience in privacy, legal, or compliance roles with knowledge of GDPR, PIPEDA, CCPA/CPRA.
- Experience with privacy impact assessments, audits, and compliance monitoring.
- Strong communication skills to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US or CIPP/EU.
- Experience with cross-border data transfer rules and international teams.
- Familiarity with data protection technologies and IT systems.
