What you will do

• Define and implement enterprise-wide data engineering standards and best practices.
• Provide expert guidance on cloud services (AWS) and data architecture decisions.
• Drive improvements in efficiency, cost reduction, and innovation across data.
• Mentor engineers and influence cross-functional teams including analytics, ML, and security.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to meet enterprise client data needs.
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with GDPR, SOC 2, and other regulations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of data engineering experience with 5+ years in staff or principal roles.
• Deep expertise in data infrastructure, ETL/ELT, and data pipeline orchestration.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native data services.
• Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar for automation.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-team communication skills.
• Experience with data tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, Spark, Kafka, and data warehousing solutions.
