IT Engineer - Identity and Access Management (IAM)

IT Engineer - Identity and Access Management (IAM): Supporting and maintaining IAM systems and processes, including SSO, IGA, and access control mechanisms across the enterprise, with an accent on user provisioning, access reviews, and authentication workflows. Focus on monitoring identity events, escalating anomalies, and collaborating with stakeholders for IAM-related requirements.

Location: Open to candidates who wish to work hybrid from our office in Galway city, or virtual within Ireland. Access is restricted to personnel who meet EU Sovereign Cloud eligibility requirements (EU citizen or equivalent).

What you will do

• Assist with configuring and maintaining IAM systems including SSO and IGA platforms.
• Support day-to-day IAM operations such as user provisioning/deprovisioning and access reviews.
• Monitor identity events and system access logs, escalating anomalies as needed.
• Support the joiner, mover, leaver (JML) process lifecycle.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather and interpret IAM-related requirements.
• Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT) and support functional testing activities.

Requirements

• Requires a relevant degree (NFQ Level 8 or higher) and typically 1–3 years of experience, or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in IAM, IT security, or access-related technical support.
• Exposure to IAM platforms such as Okta and Ping Identity.
• Basic understanding of identity lifecycle processes and authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth).
• Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence).
• Must be an EU citizen or equivalent due to access to EU Sovereign Cloud-controlled systems.
• Strong willingness to learn and evolve with the team.
