Salary: USD $117,200 – $229,200 per year (IC4, U.S. average), USD $153,600 – $250,200 per year (IC4, San Francisco Bay Area/New York City), USD $137,600 – $267,000 per year (IC5, U.S. average), USD $180,400 – $294,000 per year (IC5, San Francisco Bay Area/New York City).

What you will do

• Design and develop secure and performant Platform services supporting Copilot experiences on Windows.
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, application engineers, and researchers to build next-generation AI products and services.
• Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
• Overcome obstacles to deliver work quickly and iteratively to users.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, design-driven, product development cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.
• Experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• English: B2+ proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• 6+ years’ experience building scalable services on top of public cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Extensive use of various datastores like RDBMS and key-value stores.
• 6+ years’ experience building distributed systems at scale with extensive systems knowledge.
• Experience working with AI platforms, frameworks, and APIs.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues.
