Salary: The typical starting salary range for this role is: $143,000 - $172,800 USD. In select locations (including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York Metro, San Francisco, DC Metro, Seattle, Austin), an alternate range may apply, as specified below: $158,000 - $192,000 US.

What you will do

• Design and develop innovative orchestration features end-to-end.
• Drive enhancements in the orchestration frontend.
• Work on complex systems using Python, TypeScript, React, Go, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and Datadog.
• Collaborate with UX designers, PMs, and engineering teams across dbtLabs.
• Take ownership of systems post-release by participating in on-call and support rotations.
• Act as a mentor to other engineers, providing guidance on best practices and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Ability to balance speed of delivery with designing and implementing reliable, secure, highly available services.
• Expertise in frontend development with Typescript and React, driven by a passion for creating delightful customer experiences.
• Strong knowledge of observability and debugging production issues at scale.
• Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
• Passion for upholding engineering best practices in all phases of SDLC.
• Self-starter able to lead a group of engineers from inception to implementation of ideas.
• Location: Remote (United States)
