What you will do

• Own projects across marimo's open-source ecosystem including frontend, backend, and editor extensions like VS Code.
• Design and build scalable, performant data visualizations and interactive experiences in the marimo editor.
• Maintain simplicity in user interface design while delivering powerful functionality.
• Engage actively with the open-source community, triaging issues and understanding user needs.
• Balance community feedback with the team’s roadmap and vision.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based near or able to work hybrid from New York, San Francisco, or Sunnyvale, CA; remote considered if >30 miles from office.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Typescript and experience building modern React applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. person status or eligibility to access export controlled information as per U.S. Government regulations.
