Senior Backend Engineer (DeFi): Further contributing to the cutting-edge development of hirify.global by creating new on-chain trading strategies and backend infrastructure for market making operations with an accent on monitoring, tuning, and improving market making performance across chains. Focus on developing, refining, and implementing strategies and infrastructure for algorithmic liquidity provisioning for major industry tokens.

Location: Fully remote, with team members spanning Zug, Paris, New York, Berlin, and London. Option to work in person with Founders in Switzerland.

What you will do

• Create new on-chain trading strategies.
• Monitor, tune, and improve market making performance across chains.
• Develop backend infrastructure for market making operations.
• Develop, refine, and implement strategies for algorithmic liquidity provisioning for major tokens.

Requirements

• Strong experience building high-frequency, ultra-low-latency applications.
• 3+ years of experience with C++, Rust, or Solidity.
• Good understanding of financial markets, order books, market making, arbitrage, and/or market microstructure.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, maths, physics, or a similar field.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Experience with Google Cloud or AWS, and containers like Docker/Kubernetes.
• Awareness of security principles for critical finance applications, both on and off-chain.

Nice to have

• Previous automated market making experience, specifically with Uniswap.
• Experience building your own trading bot or CEX/DEX arbitrage.
• Experience dealing with low-level networking (TCP/IP, UDP, packet decoding, latency).
• Passion for contributing to/researching cutting-edge DeFi technologies.
• Ability to understand smart contract code.
