What you will do

• Design and develop backend services with a focus on reliability and maintainability
• Define service architecture, data flows, and communication patterns
• Write unit and integration tests; instrument services with metrics, logs, and alerts
• Own the full delivery lifecycle including packaging, deployment, and operation in AWS or Kubernetes
• Develop and maintain internal libraries and tooling; standardize repeatable patterns
• Contribute to engineering culture by proposing improvements and clarifying ambiguous problems

Requirements

• Must have 3+ years experience as a Python Developer
• Strong experience shipping and running backend or ML-driven services end-to-end
• Experience building microservices (FastAPI or similar)
• Strong Python fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Location: Manila or remote within GMT+5 to GMT+10 time zones

Nice to have

• AWS and Terraform experience
• Understanding concurrency models in Python (asyncio, multiprocessing, threading)
• Experience with software architecture (event-driven, DDD), ML/NLP/CV productionization, graph databases, fintech risk or antifraud systems
