What you will do

• Own the end-to-end development lifecycle for new platform capabilities and system integrations
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and external customers to understand problems and implement effective solutions
• Work with research teams to improve next-generation AI models
• Architect and maintain backend services, distributed systems, databases, APIs, and data pipelines
• Ensure performance, safety, and compliance at global scale

Requirements

• Must be located in San Francisco or New York City, United States
• 7+ years of professional backend engineering experience
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or Typescript
• Experience with distributed systems and building infrastructure supporting billions of requests and petabytes of data
• Strong focus on reliability, safety, and performance in production environments
• Interest in AI/ML (direct experience not required)
