What you will do

• Design and develop modular web-based user interfaces and visualizations.
• Architect databases to store complex biochemical data in future-proof ways.
• Own large parts of the software design and development process in an early-stage company.
• Build modern, automatically updated documentation stacks using OpenAPI specifications.
• Collaborate with biologists, machine learning experts, and scientists to integrate domain knowledge.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work in Amsterdam or Zürich
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React.
• Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem (FastAPI, uv, ruff, pyright).
• Ability to design user interfaces and backend services.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.

Nice to have

• Experience with databases and big data systems.
• Knowledge of production systems for machine learning applications.
• Experience building containerized backend systems (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excitement about all parts of the software stack and ability to contribute across frontend and backend.
