What you will do

• Lead and manage a high-performing, agile software engineering team.
• Actively contribute to the codebase and participate in development tasks.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting communication and knowledge sharing.
• Set performance expectations, provide feedback, coaching, and mentorship for team growth.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance productivity.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend development experience (e.g., PHP or Java).
• 2+ years of experience managing remote, international backend engineers.
• Excellent knowledge of SaaS software technologies, best practices, and design patterns.
• Strong project management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• BS or MS in computer science or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python, MySQL, Terraform.
• Experience programming or supporting applications in Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with service-oriented, micro-service, or serverless architectures.
