Senior Applied Research Scientist (HEOR): Conduct applied research using real-world Electronic Health Records data to produce impactful healthcare studies with an accent on causal inference, longitudinal data analysis, and statistical programming. Location: Hybrid with flexibility to work from anywhere in the US, in-person attendance required twice a year in Seattle, WA

Salary: $158,000–$175,000

What you will do

• Initiate and lead applied research studies aligned with business goals from ideation to publication.
• Apply advanced statistical and econometric methods for analyzing complex real-world healthcare data.
• Write and maintain code in R or Python for data processing and analysis.
• Manage multiple research projects and deliver results on agreed timelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, clinical informatics, and communications teams.
• Provide researcher input to guide development of healthcare research solutions.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• MD or PhD in Epidemiology, HEOR, Biostatistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in statistical programming with R and/or Python and research publication.
• Expertise in causal inference, survival analysis, longitudinal data, and handling incomplete data.
• 3+ years collaborating cross-functionally and communicating complex research to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work within Pacific Time Zone meeting hours and attend in-person events twice yearly in Seattle.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-world evidence and epidemiology thought leadership.
• Familiarity with EHR data models and clinical terminologies like ICD-10, SNOMED.
• Strong communication skills for both scientific and lay audiences.
