What you will do

• Lead and scale a high-performing data organization across engineering, ML infrastructure, and analytics.
• Define and execute a company-wide data strategy aligned with platform, product, and AI/ML needs.
• Manage vendor and technology partnerships to accelerate data capabilities.
• Champion a data-driven culture enabling confident, insight-led decisions.
• Ensure data platform reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver well-governed data solutions and shape technical direction.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid role based in Mountain View, US, requiring in-office presence 2 days a week
• 7+ years in data engineering, infrastructure, and systems; 5+ years leading engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise with distributed systems (Spark, Flink), event-driven pipelines (Kafka), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; Scala and Databricks experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL database design, CI/CD, Terraform, Git, and data governance frameworks.
