Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany (2 days a week in office)

What you will do

• Drive cross-domain and cross-tribe architecture discussions, challenging the status quo and identifying bottlenecks.
• Craft a long-term vision for the AdTech platform’s evolution, partnering with Engineering and Product Management.
• Set standards for code quality, testing, and observability, mentoring Senior Engineers.
• Design and optimize complex backend services to handle high throughput and low latency.
• Act as a bridge between squads, ensuring seamless integration of components within the AdTech ecosystem.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software development experience with significant experience in building and delivering distributed systems at scale.
• Expert-level proficiency in backend languages and strong knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven design, and cloud-native patterns.
• Deep understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and database design (Relational and/or NoSQL).
• Expert knowledge of logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies (Grafana, Datadog, NewRelic, Prometheus).
• Ability to lead and drive technical initiatives across multiple teams and influence stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies.
• Active involvement in the tech community (meet-ups, conferences, or open-source projects).
• Experience in AdTech Products.
