What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server instances in production and non-production environments
• Monitor and tune database performance for optimal efficiency
• Manage database security, backups, and disaster recovery plans
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues ensuring minimal downtime
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries and database design
• Support 24/7 operations with flexible shift coverage

Requirements

• Must be flexible for 24x7 shift coverage
• Location: Hybrid work model with office presence in Amsterdam, Netherlands
• 8+ years experience as MS SQL Database Administrator
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, and high availability solutions
• Expertise in backup strategies and disaster recovery planning
• Familiarity with T-SQL scripting and automation tools
• Understanding of security best practices for database environments

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based SQL solutions such as Azure SQL Database
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation
