Location: Hybrid, New York, United States. Employees are expected to work from a designated Microsoft office at least four days a week if they live within 50 miles (U.S.) or 25 miles (non-U.S., country-specific) of that location.

Salary: USD $158,400 – $258,000 per year for New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Build scalable data pipelines for telemetry ingestion, anomaly detection, and cohort segmentation.
• Implement ML-driven insights and integrate them into dashboards and APIs.
• Develop secure, compliant workflows for handling production logs and conversation data.
• Enable drill-down capabilities linking quantitative metrics to qualitative evidence.
• Collaborate with PMs, data scientists, and UX to define roadmaps and deliver intuitive workflows.
• Prototype and productionize ML models for anomaly detection and predictive insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Strong hands-on skills in machine learning, data platforms, and distributed systems.
• Ability to independently write efficient, readable, extensible code and model pipelines.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience, or Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years.
• Proven experience leading small engineering and machine learning teams.
• Demonstrated interest in Responsible AI.
