What you will do

• Conduct day-to-day engineering work and solve complex technical issues in your domain.
• Partner with business stakeholders to align technology stack with business outcomes and advise on technical limitations.
• Design and implement fully functional solutions by integrating various applications, databases, and technology platforms.
• Creatively test and maintain software applications and related programs following design requirements.
• Take technical responsibility for the codebase health, advocating for best practices, scalability, and performance.
• Take a whole systems approach to analyze issues and implement holistic solutions for organizational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Software Development work experience.
• Strong focus on backend development and solid experience in high-performance, high-throughput, highly available, and scalable cloud services.
• Java or Kotlin experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to identify business problems and design easily testable and observable solutions.
• Strong understanding of testing and monitoring tools and technologies.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience driving technical design end-to-end in at least 2 multi-quarter projects.
• Several contributions to the engineering community (blog posts, open-source, tech talks).
• Experience formally mentoring at least 3 individuals.
• Ability to establish operational excellence metrics at the team level.
