What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt with modular architecture and state management standards.
- Architect and maintain observability stack including Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry for metrics and distributed tracing.
- Implement global traffic management using AWS Global Accelerator for low-latency performance.
- Manage and scale Kubernetes (EKS) clusters ensuring high availability and resource optimization.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy towards continuous delivery.
- Own application health monitoring with Sentry across Golang, PHP, and Node.js applications and manage secrets lifecycle with HashiCorp Vault.
Requirements
- Must be based in or near Cardiff with hybrid work model requiring office presence minimum 3 days per week
- Deep experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, EKS, RDS, IAM) and Terraform/Terragrunt.
- Strong hands-on skills with Prometheus, Grafana, and Kubernetes production management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy.
- Ability to read and debug Golang, PHP, or Node.js code.
- Understanding of security standards and secrets management in FinTech environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS Global Accelerator for multi-region resilience and latency optimization.
- Experience implementing OpenTelemetry instrumentation and collectors.
- Knowledge of financial services regulatory and security standards (SOC2, ISO27001).
