TL;DR

Staff Software Engineer (Embedded Finance): Building and optimizing new Embedded Finance capabilities for a restaurant platform with an accent on robust and scalable full-stack software applications. Focus on leading technical initiatives, defining architectural direction, and mentoring team members.

Location: US (remote) or Boston, MA (hybrid). Must be able to work core EST working hours.

Salary: $155,000–$248,000 USD

What you will do

  • Lead technical initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust and scalable full-stack software applications.
  • Define and deliver design feedback, leading code reviews to ensure implementation meets requirements.
  • Proactively shape team discussions and drive consensus on product features, design, and strategy.
  • Lead architectural discussions and set the technical direction of the roadmap.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance development workflow and pioneer new approaches to building software.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of back-end experience in Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented languages.
  • Proficient with modern web standards and technologies (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
  • Experience with distributed systems, enterprise messaging systems, and/or microservices.
  • Experience delivering high-quality, reliable services to production.
  • Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics.
  • Ability to work core EST working hours.
