What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a 6-person Product Design team, fostering strong craft and strategic influence.
• Own the end-to-end design vision across all product surfaces and evolve it as the company expands.
• Partner with Product, UX Research, and Engineering leadership to align design with product strategy and goals.
• Build and strengthen design systems for consistency, quality, and scalability.
• Shape design practices from discovery to delivery, supporting onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention.
• Represent design in leadership and influence product direction through user insights and vision clarity.

Requirements

• Remote first role with hybrid option for San Francisco-based candidates.
• 12+ years of product design experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience owning design vision and execution in fast-moving startup or marketplace environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating interaction design, systems thinking, and user-centered craft.
• Proven ability to grow and coach designers and bring clarity to ambiguous spaces.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills working with Product and Engineering leadership.
