What you will do

• Develop and maintain the S-Series retail product using React, Ruby-on-Rails, NodeJS, and Python
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders in a cross-functional team
• Write clean, tested, maintainable, and efficient code
• Support and mentor junior engineers
• Contribute to innovative technical solutions for customer problems
• Participate in team celebrations and foster a positive work environment

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Canada and work EST/EDT hours
• Strong proficiency in React or similar frontend technology
• Backend development experience in Ruby, Python, or NodeJS
• Experience delivering production-grade software on time
• Ability to analyze production environments and performance
• Passion for continuous learning and improvement

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience in Agile development environments
• Knowledge of real-time messaging systems like Kafka
