Salary: $161,000.00 – $225,500.00 USD (Chicago, IL)

What you will do

• Advocate for the iOS platform, ensuring a high-quality native user experience.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of designers, product managers, and engineers.
• Introduce fresh ideas and industry best practices for meaningful improvements.
• Leverage and advocate for the use of AI tools to accelerate development.
• Make data-driven decisions to demonstrate value and guide strategy.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code applying software design principles.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Maintain and improve software projects in production environments, including bug fixing and monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 8+ years of professional software development experience, OR a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience; OR Equivalent related professional experience.
• Deep expertise in the iOS ecosystem, including Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode.
• Demonstrated experience with technical leadership, including mentoring others and setting high-quality standards.
• Proficient collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and the GitHub ecosystem, including GitHub Actions.

Nice to have

• Direct experience contributing to or using a design system.
• Experience implementing sophisticated UI interactions, animations, and transitions on iOS.
• A passion for building accessible (a11y) and inclusive user interfaces.
• Experience with UI testing frameworks like XCTest and XCUITest.
