Senior Developer (Public Sector): Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure backend services on hirify.global Government Cloud for public sector clients with an accent on Java, microservices, and API integrations. Focus on building mission-critical applications, ensuring government compliance, and providing technical leadership within an Agile environment.

Location: Must be a U.S. citizen living on U.S. soil who does not hold dual citizenship, with the ability to meet customer and government screening standards. Must be eligible to obtain Secret clearance. Locations include San Francisco, New York, and remote within New York City Metro.

What you will do

• Design and develop backend services using Java, Spring, and related frameworks.
• Build scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems on hirify.global Government Cloud.
• Lead code reviews, establish coding standards, and provide technical mentorship to team members.
• Integrate hirify.global with government systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Develop solutions for air-gapped and offline environments, ensuring performance and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams, influencing technical direction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Java, including Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Data Structures, Algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed backend systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Must be a US Citizen eligible to obtain Secret clearance.
• Clean background suitable for positions of public trust.

Nice to have

• Experience with Government Cloud or Public Sector Solutions.
• Knowledge of government compliance requirements and hirify.global security best practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
