What you will do

• Own backend features end-to-end from design to impact review.
• Design and develop scalable, reliable backend systems with observability.
• Build real-time audio processing pipelines and AI/ML integrations for clinical notes.
• Integrate with hirify.global products, third-party healthcare systems, and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Solve distributed systems challenges including async workflows and multi-cloud orchestration.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to ship iteratively and validate learning.

Requirements

• Must be located in Spain for 100% remote work.
• 4+ years experience in backend engineering with scalable systems.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, scalability, and clean architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher for effective collaboration.
• Ability to ship iteratively and learn from production data.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML integrations like Speech-to-Text or LLMs.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration.
• Background in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Experience working with Python codebases.
