What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical ownership of billing and account management systems spanning multiple cloud providers.
• Design and implement large-scale data pipelines for billing data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Drive operational excellence by improving observability, incident response, and reliability using DevOps practices.
• Shape system architecture for scalability, modularity, and API design.
• Collaborate with SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, Product, Design, and Finance teams to align technical and business goals.
• Mentor engineers and tech leads to elevate design and operational standards.

Requirements

• Must have 8+ years of backend or platform engineering experience with strong Python and PostgreSQL skills.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures in SaaS environments.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to lead multi-quarter projects and mentor engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-organizational collaboration.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a globally distributed, asynchronous environment.
