hirify.global is a global quantitative trading firm looking for an experienced Macro Analyst to expand trading opportunities.

What you will do

• Help prepare coverage of macro fundamental events and special situations.
• Conduct scenario EVs and analysis for scheduled macro events.
• Give real-time EVs for unanticipated macro news and communicate valuation changes to trading teams.
• Engage in detailed, technical discussions with traders, presenting data-driven logic and reasoning.
• Interact with sell-side sales and research contacts globally, aggregating broker notes and summarizing opinions.
• Run longer-term research on specific macro topics, from data gathering to analysis and recommendations.

Requirements

• Strong quantitative background and command of probability.
• Able to comfortably work and communicate with traders in a fast-paced environment.
• Have 3+ years of experience covering macro within trading, financial services, or governmental institutions.
• Some regional expertise in Asia / China.
• Current with relevant published research and comfortable exploring less explored areas.
• Able to work nimbly, combining datasets, statistical models, and economic understanding.
• Fluency in English required.

Nice to have

• Having your own broker contacts.
• Skills in programming (e.g., Python).
• Proficiency in Asian languages (particularly Mandarin Chinese).
