Salary: $187,500 - $281,300 per year

What you will do

• Design and operate backend services and APIs for conversation routing, tool orchestration, and data grounding.
• Integrate LLM and agentic capabilities into scalable, observable production systems.
• Establish safety checks, permissions, and governance for high-trust actions.
• Build infrastructure for conversation continuity, personalization, and cross-surface memory.
• Develop evaluation and telemetry pipelines to improve quality, reliability, and latency.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and designers to ship impactful features.

Requirements

• Must have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend or fullstack background with distributed systems fundamentals.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language: Ruby, Python, or TypeScript.
• Experience designing and maintaining high-reliability APIs and services.
• Practical experience integrating LLM-based services in user-facing products or tools.
• Ability to collaborate closely with ML engineers and product teams.

• Experience shipping applied LLM or AI-powered features at scale with attention to safety and reliability.
• Experience building shared platforms or extensibility frameworks.
