Location: Based in the UK; in-person participation for team and company-wide offsites is required multiple times annually.

What you will do

• Lead projects to launch cutting-edge derivatives and financing products globally.
• Provide practical and actionable legal advice on novel legal issues and complex agreement structures.
• Lead structuring and regulatory advice for strategic partners and sophisticated counterparties.
• Shape and advise on digital currency and blockchain technology regulatory issues, especially regarding derivatives and structured transactions.
• Lead complex global cross-functional efforts, ensuring alignment and driving product delivery.
• Apply a solutions-oriented approach to guide business in global growth and manage risk.

Requirements

• Qualified attorney in England and Wales with at least 7 years of experience in a financial services institution or supporting law firm.
• Interest and experience with digital currency and blockchain technology.
• Experience working with product teams launching financial services or investment products.
• Expertise with UK and EU regulatory regimes (MiFID, EMIR) and familiarity with crypto asset regulations (MiCA).
• Strong judgement, analytical rigor, and clear communication skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional, globally located teams.

Nice to have

• Experience leading critical authorization and license applications for highly-regulated products.
• Experience analyzing the regulatory status of crypto assets.
• Experience advising on cross-border licensing requirements and client classification procedures.
• Strong negotiation skills for complex financial agreements.
