TL;DR

Implementation Engineer (Retail/Hospitality): Delivering hardware and software setups and configuring systems for retail and hospitality customers with an accent on seamless onboarding experiences and technical problem-solving. Focus on on-site installations, configuration of new hardware, and supporting clients with implementation queries.

Location: Based in Waterlooville. Flexible hybrid working.

What you will do

  • Perform hardware setup, configuration, and software installation.
  • Support internal teams and external clients with implementation queries.
  • Manage workload and complete tasks within agreed timeframes.
  • Document processes and maintain accurate implementation records.
  • Visit client sites for hardware installations when required.
  • Collaborate with the Ops team and assist the Helpdesk.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Clear, confident communication skills.
  • Good technical understanding of PCs and ideally EPOS hardware.
  • Experience installing software and following technical processes.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in an Implementations or Technical Installation role.
  • Experience in the retail or hospitality sector.
  • Knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server.
  • Understanding of routers, switches, and basic firewall configuration.
  • Familiarity with modern networking protocols and operating systems.
