Engineering Manager (Software Development)

Salary: $240,000–$300,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Define the team's mission, ownership areas, goals, and decision-making frameworks.
• Plan and maintain the engineering roadmap with product managers, including prioritization and staffing.
• Build a collaborative, motivated team and support individual career development.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and ramp up engineering talent.
• Lead engineering-wide initiatives that improve technical excellence and organizational scalability.
• Own team outcomes, establish effective delivery processes, and represent the team across the organization.

Requirements

• 2+ years of engineering management experience and 6+ years of overall software development experience.
• Experience managing and coaching 3+ direct reports in a fast-paced environment.
• Track record of building scalable, high-performance systems with strong attention to customer experience.
• Clear, empathetic communication across different audiences and levels of abstraction.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly and work with React, TypeScript, Python, Node, AWS, Terraform, and modern deployment and observability tools.
