TL;DR
Data Scientist Intern (FinTech): Building data science models and solutions to increase GoPay customer engagement, customer base, and transactions with an accent on statistical and machine learning methods, large-scale data analysis, and cross-functional product development. Focus on rapidly prototyping models, formulating technical problems, generating actionable insights, and supporting end-to-end deployment with engineers.
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia; on-site

's GoPay business develops payment products supported by data science and machine learning systems.
What you will do
- Build data science solutions that improve customer engagement and grow GoPay's customer base and transactions.
- Prototype models and contribute to product and feature discussions.
- Analyze large volumes of data and generate actionable insights.
- Own solutions end to end, from technical problem formulation through deployment with engineering support.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business analysts.
- Participate in internal and external conferences and workshops.
Requirements
- Recent graduate or final-semester student in computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals.
- Demonstrated experience with Python and R.
- Ability to communicate analytical results with business stakeholders and write clear technical documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with recommender systems, ranking, multi-armed bandits, search, or discovery.
