Expert Backend Engineer (Golang)

Location: New York City; hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office

Base salary: $180–$250 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain large-scale distributed backend components.
• Handle backend software development end to end, including research, design, development, testing, rollout, and monitoring.
• Contribute to technological and architectural decisions.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of backend systems.
• Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with a high-level programming language such as Java, C#, or Golang.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Must be based in New York or prepared to commute to New York for the hybrid schedule.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architecture, databases, and message queue technologies.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment.
• Familiarity with Golang, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Neptune, Docker, and Kubernetes.
