What you will do

• Develop and tune post-training recipes including datasets, training stages, and hyperparameters.
• Iterate on evaluation metrics to ensure meaningful and improved results.
• Debug and understand unexpected training outcomes to improve configurations.
• Scale existing methodologies and explore new training datasets.
• Publish and present research to advance the AI community.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in San Francisco, California
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts.
• Experience with distributed training and scalable code.
• Preferred: knowledge of RLHF, reward learning, human data collection, or alignment research.

Nice to have

• PhD or equivalent industry research experience in relevant fields.
