Infrastructure Engineer

TL;DR

Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps): Own developer productivity and quality practices for LangGraph Cloud/Platform and LangSmith products, focusing on Kubernetes-based services, APIs, and UI flows. Focus on building ephemeral test environments, shift-left quality in CI/CD, observability for tests, and performance and reliability monitoring.

Location: In person 5 days/week in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Salary: $145,000-$195,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own end-to-end test strategy across APIs, services, UI, data, and infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm).
• Deploy ephemeral test environments in Kubernetes for PRs and releases with seeded test data.
• Implement shift-left quality practices in CI/CD pipelines including parallelization, caching, and flake tracking.
• Develop observability for tests with failure artifacts, dashboards, and alerts.
• Establish performance and reliability baselines, capacity tests, and regression detection.
• Collaborate on incident workflows to reproduce issues, add regression tests, and improve runbooks.

Requirements

• Must be located in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY with onsite work 5 days/week
• 3+ years experience as Infra or Software Engineer with strong Python (pytest) skills.
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions), API testing, mocking, and data setup/teardown.
• Comfortable defining quality bars, authoring test plans, and driving cross-team execution.

Nice to have

• Load/performance testing (k6), observability (Datadog, OpenTelemetry), property-based testing (Hypothesis).
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes networking.
• SQL fluency for data validation (Postgres, ClickHouse, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with Go, Node, React for white-box testing improvements.
