TL;DR

Security Operations Engineer (Cybersecurity): Protecting the organisation by monitoring, investigating, and responding to security threats with an accent on incident detection, threat hunting, and improving security controls. Focus on building a security-first culture, managing email security, DLP, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.

Location: Hybrid in London and Budapest with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote

What you will do

  • Monitor and triage security events from SIEM, endpoints, email, and DLP systems
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting and track emerging threats
  • Investigate phishing and email security incidents, refine prevention rules
  • Support endpoint and SaaS security incident remediation and enforce controls like SSO and MFA
  • Manage vulnerability scans, coordinate patching, and monitor progress
  • Improve security awareness training and operational processes

Requirements

  • Location: Hybrid work with office presence in London and Budapest
  • 3-5 years experience in security operations or SOC with hands-on incident response
  • Familiarity with SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, and log analysis
  • Understanding of common attack methods including MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
  • English: B2 level or higher required

  • Strong collaboration skills with IT, engineering, and business teams
  • Resilience under pressure during active incidents
