Network Engineer

Location: Remote work from Bratislava, Slovakia with support for legalization in Slovakia

What you will do

• Administer network equipment at multiple data centers
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on network equipment
• Handle requests from external and internal clients
• Participate in internal projects such as network development, connecting new locations, implementing new equipment, and automation

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work remotely from Bratislava, Slovakia
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN principles and dynamic network protocols (BGP/OSPF)
• Understanding of L2 networking: VLANs, xSTP family, LACP, redundancy protocols (LACP/VRRP/etc.)
• Basic network troubleshooting skills
• English: Intermediate level or higher for technical documentation and communication

Nice to have

• Experience with network equipment from Extreme, Juniper, or Nokia
• Knowledge of EVPN and/or MPLS
• Certifications from network equipment and software vendors
• Experience in telecom and/or datacenter networking
