Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role in Prague, Czech Republic; three days per week in the office at NR7, Náměstí republiky.

What you will do

• Research and analyze emerging security threats, exploits, and post-exploitation tools and techniques.
• Reproduce threats in laboratory environments and develop IPS signatures and prevention logic.
• Improve detection accuracy for a dynamically changing threat landscape.
• Monitor and analyze detection results to maintain a zero false-positive rate.
• Use the security data warehouse and big-data technologies to support threat research.
• Develop automation, internal tools, research projects, and new product features.

Requirements

• At least two years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of networking architecture and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, HTTP, and SMB.
• Understanding of exploitation, malware command and control, post-exploitation, phishing, and network scanning.
• Hands-on experience with Wireshark and PCAP analysis.
• Hands-on experience with at least one scripting language, such as Python or PowerShell.
• Excellent English and communication skills, plus the ability to work from the Prague office three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience developing signatures for IPS and firewalls.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Mathematics.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to validate hypotheses through in-depth technical analysis.
