What you will do

• Implement UI systems in Unreal Engine for Fortnite, including rapid prototypes, layouts, visual scripting, and workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with UX Designers, UI Artists, and UI Engineers to ship features to millions of users worldwide.
• Design UI systems, break down features/wireframes, and increase UI performance by ensuring best practices.
• Implement Blueprint logic when presentation logic calls for it and assist UI Artists.
• Debug Blueprints/UMG issues quickly using various tools and techniques.
• Assist UX, UI Art, and UI Engineering teams with organization, documentation, and workflow enhancements.

Requirements

• 3-6+ years of experience in building UI and user experiences in game engines across multiple platforms (mobile, web, PC, consoles).
• 2+ years of experience shipping updates and new features to a user base regularly.
• Professional experience using game engines (e.g., Unity, UE4, Lumberyard) and preparing game assets.
• Strong logical problem-solving skills and attention to detail with an eye for pixel-perfect UI.
• Ability to translate communication across departments and empathize with non-technical team members.
• Expertise in introductory algebra and geometry math ("Game math"), game systems, and fundamental programming principles.
