What you will do
- Lead hiring, mentoring, and development of diverse art teams across disciplines
- Manage department budget, workload distribution, and staffing needs
- Oversee visual quality, consistency, and timely delivery of art assets
- Collaborate with project managers, art leads, and cross-functional teams
- Implement improvements to art pipelines and production workflows
Requirements
- 5+ years of game art experience with leadership on shipped projects
- Strong skills in 2D, 3D, animation, and art production pipelines
- Experience in hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and evaluating artists
- Excellent organizational, managerial, and communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets, task scoping, and resource allocation
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Nice to have
- Experience in outsourcing or service-based game development
- Familiarity with Jira, Trello, Figma
- Hands-on experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal
