Salary: $200,000–$225,000 USD, plus hirify.global Stock Options.

What you will do

• Contribute as one of the earliest technical contributors to the system architecture for agentic AI, supporting the emerging Night Shift AI product.
• Own and evolve the AI evaluation framework, developing methodologies and metrics for LLM evaluations at scale.
• Deliver the MVP evaluation harness to produce initial metrics, enable debugging, and perform regression testing.
• Lead deeper R&D threads, including lightweight fine-tuned projection layers, specialized embeddings, and multimodal understanding, to improve system performance.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering (Backend, Frontend) and Design teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years building and shipping ML systems to production.
• Familiarity with Agentic Systems, including LLM API use (LangChain/LangGraph, vLLM, OpenAI/Gemini/Anthropic APIs) and agent design (tool use, retrieval, memory, grounding, guardrails).
• Experience with architectural patterns for multi-agent systems and context management.
• Proficiency with RAG (vector/hybrid search, e.g., pgvector, turbopuffer, rerankers).
• Strong experience with Backend Python and Javascript.
• Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Terraform, VPC, Networking), backend databases/stores (Postgres, Redis), and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, LangSmith/Langfuse).
• English: B2 required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification as a condition of employment.

Nice to have

• Typescript/Golang familiarity.
• Experience with durable execution (Temporal, Hatchet) and OLAP (ClickHouse, Bigquery).
• Experience with ML Inference (PyTorch, TensorRT, NVIDIA Triton), ideally in multimodal domains.
• Familiarity with compute orchestration (Kubernetes, Prefect, Ray).
• Experience with agentic task success, trajectory quality, and preference learning (SFT, DPO, RLHF, LLM-as-judge).
