What you will do

• Own team architecture and provide system-wide design guidance.
• Simplify existing systems and write exemplary code to motivate quality standards.
• Drive engineering best practices including operational excellence, security, and quality.
• Resolve root causes of systemic problems and influence cross-team software decisions.
• Build consensus and lead large projects involving multiple engineers.
• Coach and develop technical skills of colleagues and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Porto, Portugal (onsite role)
• Strong experience building scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available systems.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and web application development.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and architecture.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and scripting for automation.
• English: Required (job posting in English, level B2 assumed)
