Network Programmer (GameDev): Building high-performance network code solutions for a new AAA IP, focusing on stability, scalability, and rapid iteration. Focus on optimizing game network traffic and developing networking code to interact with backend systems and online services.

Location: On-Site Hybrid in Warsaw, Poland or Malmö, Sweden

What you will do

Architect and implement high-performance network code solutions for client and server game logic.
Partner with engineering and design teams to build networked gameplay systems.
Optimize and debug game network traffic.
Develop networking code to interact with backend systems and online services.
Provide insight and mentorship to gameplay engineering teams on best practices for use of multiplayer systems.

Requirements

Excellent C++ programming skills with at least 5 years of experience in networked games or equivalent.
Proficient with synchronization, lag compensation, UDP/TCP, and packet bandwidth optimization.
Experience in Linux development.
Excellent debugging and performance analysis skills within a networked environment.
A proven track record of contributing to at least one shipped AAA game.
Experience in other areas of video game technology.

Nice to have

Excellent communication skills and experience coordinating with distributed development studios.
Experience with network security.
Experience with multi-platform development, including PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Experience with live ops development and operation.
Tools development experience using Python or other relevant languages.
