Location: This role is based out of the studios in Stockholm and Malmö, Sweden. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What you will do

• Work with designers, animators, and gameplay programmers to create complex and realistic animal AI behavior.
• Design and implement animal behavior using and extending existing tools for behavior trees and navigation.
• Implement game systems related to spawning, pathfinding, decision-making, group movement, and locomotion.
• Translate high-level design ideas into practical solutions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Industry Experience, preferably on bespoke game engines.
• Experience working with different AI architectures and techniques like behavior trees and pathfinding.
• Ability to write readable, robust, and performant code in C++.
• Experience working with animation state machines, animation blending, and IK.
• Good understanding of all aspects of game programming in multiplayer games.
• Prior experience as a programmer on at least one shipped title on current or previous generation of consoles.
• Strong communication & verbal skills in English.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Havok AI / Havok Navigation.
