Senior Software Engineer (C++)

Location: New York, Old Greenwich, Miami, Austin, or Chicago, United States

Base salary: $175,000–$250,000 USD per year, plus a discretionary performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Build software platforms supporting large-scale quantitative research operations and portfolio production.
• Research, design, code, test, and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling.
• Develop scalable distributed systems and high-performance applications.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers on platform and tooling requirements.
• Own complex technical challenges involved in building an efficient platform for the firm's future growth.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience writing production-quality C++ code on Linux.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system programming fundamentals.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, high-performance application design, and concurrency patterns.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Python development experience.
• Experience managing and performing computation on large-scale graph data.
• Experience with streaming or dataflow systems.
• Previous financial services experience is not required.
